Glitch 1
This painting is part of Series V: PORTALS
GLITCH 1 is a threshold disguised as a Painting.
A portal is a contradiction: it blocks your way and invites you through. On the surface, you see black. Where the Color Musou Black lives, light dies. Up to 99.4 percent gone… Puff!!! No reflection, no mercy, no escape hatch for the eye. That is not “color.” That is gravitational pull. That is a point beyond which your certainty cannot return intact. The absolute blacks act like ZERO—pure, ruthless, uncompromising—swallowing EVERYTHING and your reflection with it.
We talk about parallel universes like they are theory. Here, they are architecture. Quantum computing is the blueprint: superposition as a room with many doors; entanglement as a hallway that lets two distant rooms whisper to each other; decoherence as the moment a choice collapses the maze into a single path. PORTALS turns those concepts into matter. The surface is not a mirror. It is an interface. Your gaze is the voltage that boots the system.
Crackle is not ornament. It is the fossil of time stamped into the skin of the work. Fine fractures map the stress lines where one reality meets another, tectonic plates of paint pushing and grinding until a new world leaks through.
But… Not every black is the same. Some invite. Some erase. Some devour. The “other black” host texture, sheen, interference, a stubborn geography that refuses to disappear.
In GLITCH, the first completed portal of the series, parts of that second black have been deliberately removed, like pixel layers scraped from a corrupted file. The reveal is a message. Information is bleeding through. Reality just stuttered, and for one frame you saw the “original code”.
GLITCH does not “depict” a traditional portal; it behaves like one. Step close… Closer… Closer and your depth cues fail. Your pupils dilate. Your nervous system runs a diagnostics check you didn’t ask for. That sense of falling you feel is data in the shape of a work of art. It is a machine on canvas that runs on attention and risk. You are not observing from the outside. You are participating in the computation.
GLITCH… chooses the dangerous truth: that crossing requires abrasion; that meaning is born at the line where materials resist; that clarity is costly and worth the price.
The series is inspired by the chaotic entropy of Quantum Computing.
Imagine coexisting states pressed into the surface of the canvases. Look long enough on one of the Black holes and you will lose the coherence of time.
The scraped zones are proof of contact, evidence that the painting fought back and left marks from the struggle.
Let the PORTALS test your appetite for uncertainty through pigment, fracture, depth, risk.
Then choose...
Do you remain a spectator, or do you cross and accept the cost of seeing more than you can explain?
Do not blink. This is Quantum craziness…
